Agri Tubewells Solarization The Chief Minister of Punjab Ms. Maryam Nawaz Sharif has started the Chief Minister Solarization Program for solarization of agricultural tubewells for the improvement of agriculture in Punjab. This program has been started to improve the particles and it is a very important step of the Punjab government. It has been decided to allocate a budget of approximately 64 billion rupees for this program and in addition, a subsidy of approximately 9 billion rupees has been allocated in this program.

The Punjab government says that the aim of this program is to provide solarization facilities for 7 thousand tubewells in Punjab in the next two years. This will bring various benefits to the farmers. It will also help to increase the productivity of water and to face various challenges. Apart from this, the Punjab government has said that up to 60% discount will be given to those installing tube wells.

Main Objective of Solarization Program

• The depth of the tubewell should not be more than about 60 feet
• It should have about three feet of electrical connection
• Farmers who have not paid their electricity bills will not be considered for this programme
• The applicant has never taken a loan from any government department

• After submitting your application, your eligibility criteria will be checked
• If you are successful, you will be selected through the balloting process according to the district quota
